6 Surprising healthy finds at Yesh!

Hey Everyone!
If you’ve ever wandered through Yesh expecting only the basics—think rice, kosher snacks, and staples—you might be surprised by what’s hiding on those shelves. On my last trip, I went in for eggs and walked out with a cart full of Whole30-friendly, clean-eating treasures I didn’t expect to find at a neighborhood kosher grocery store. Some pantry gems, here are 6 surprising healthy finds I discovered at Yesh that just might change how you shop there too!
1. Wissotsky Cold Brew Tea Bags

These have been a lifesaver in the summer heat! Just drop one into 500ml of water for a refreshing drink. I’ve tried two flavors so far (pictured above), and both were delicious.
2. 100% Apple Juice Syrup

No sugar added—just concentrated apple juice. My kids love a splash in their water, and I love being able to control the sweetness. It’s also perfect for cooking, adding a natural touch of sweetness to meat or chicken.
3. Almond Butter

A pantry must-have! I was thrilled to find this at Yesh. It’s perfect as a dip, spread, or drizzle—and adds creamy, nutty goodness to any dish.
4. No Sugar Added Tomato Sauce

Big thanks to Yad Mordechai for this one—no sugar, no oil, and 100% Whole30 compliant. It’s full of real ingredients and rich flavor. A great base for any sauce or stew.
5. Almond Flour

Great for binding hamburger patties or as a coating for baked or fried schnitzel. A versatile grain-free staple!
6. Avocado Oil

You can fry with it, bake with it, and even make mayo! Keep an eye out for it on your next Yesh trip.
Next time you’re at Yesh, take a few extra minutes to scan the aisles—you might just find some clean-eating gems tucked between the classics. Eating healthy on a kosher diet doesn’t have to mean fancy specialty stores or endless label reading. Sometimes, the good stuff is right around the corner. Let me know if you spot any new finds—I’m always on the lookout too!
