Is Bright Line Eating for me?

Is Bright Line Eating for me?

Recently a friend of mine introduced me to Bright Line Eating by Susan Peirce Thompson. A PhD in Brain and Cognitive Sciences, she used her knowledge to formulate a diet that works.

So I looked into it and I’m taking what I like and am leaving the rest.

I have a large appetite and it takes a lot for me to feel full. So I am not restricting non starchy vegetables. I also need a snack to get me through the day so I’m taking a fruit and fat from a meal and also changing over one fruit serving to half a protein serving.

I am also allowing myself 2 sweet treats during the week. 1 on Tuesday and 1 on Shabbos. My plan is to have the Tuesday treat be a prepackaged cookie bar and that will be my serving. On Shabbos I’ll have 1 slice of cake that my husband buys. I know I shouldn’t be having sweet things and its bad for me but I know myself and the “deprivation” is going to be more damaging than the sweet treat. I am human and if I constantly deprive myself I’m going to end up eating handfuls of jelly beans.

What I like about BLE is planning the next days food the night before. It helps me be more organized and thoughtful with my food.

So I’m using their eating plan for weight loss

I am not keeping to the no flour no sugar rule, I am also not keeping the meals only rule because I am having a snack. And I’m also switching up the quantities of vegetables specifically. So am I following the bright line eating plan? Not really. Do I think its a plan that makes sense for certain people? 100%
